Birth & Postnatal Doula Services in St Neots & Surrounding Areas
Practical support and no-nonsense care for growing families
What’s a Doula, and why might you need one?
A doula is a trained professional who offers emotional, physical, and practical support before, during, and after birth. Unlike a midwife, we don’t do the medical stuff—we’re here solely for you and your family, to help you feel informed, supported, and confident from bump to baby and beyond.
If you’re pregnant or have just had a baby in St Neots, Huntingdon, Cambourne, Bedford, Sandy, or the nearby villages, you don’t need fluff or judgment. You need calm, experienced care and straight answers. That’s exactly what you’ll get here.
What you can expect
Whether you’re planning a home birth, heading to Hinchingbrooke or Addenbrookes or Bedford Hospital, or just trying to survive the fourth trimester, my birth and postnatal doula services are all about family-centred care with no gimmicks, no pressure, and zero nonsense. Realistic, practical support based on experience and evidence—not Instagram trends.

Postnatal Doula
Because babies aren’t the only ones who need looking after
What Does a Postnatal Doula Do?
Practical help. Emotional support. zero judgement. Whether this is your first baby or you're a seasoned pro!
Bringing a new baby home is a massive shift—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Everyone talks about the birth, but not enough people talk about the raw, messy, exhausting early weeks after. That’s where a postnatal doula comes in.
I’m here to walk alongside you in those early days and weeks. Not to tell you how to parent, but to support you while you figure out your own way. You won’t get fluffy advice, conflicting opinions or pressure from me—just calm, experienced, evidence-based support when you need it most.
Why Book Me as Your Postnatal Doula?
I don’t show up with a clipboard or a parenting agenda—I show up with experience, empathy, and a kettle-ready attitude.
Clients book me because they want:
-
Straightforward, non-judgemental support (albeit a little bit sweary)
-
Help that adapts to their needs, not a textbook
-
A calm, steady presence when everything else feels chaotic
What do I actually do?
Whatever you need most!
-
Talking through your birth experience
-
Helping you feel more confident feeding (bottle or breast—no agenda here)
-
Rest and Recovery – I’ll take care of the baby while you sleep, shower, or simply breathe. Yes, you’re allowed to rest.
-
Household Help – Laundry piling up? I’ll muck in where you need it most helping you find some kind of routine (that actually works for your life).
-
Emotional Support – Got questions? Feeling overwhelmed? Need to cry, vent, laugh or talk it out? I’ve got you.
-
Postnatal Education – I’ll help you understand your baby’s needs, development, sleep patterns (or lack of them), and what’s actually normal.
